Emile Lacroix
All American All the Way – 82 Airborne Division
Touring the battlefields of the 82nd Airborne Division in the Battle of the Bulge is an experience you will never forget. I guide this area myself but my knowledge about the All Americans in the Bulge is limited to the major highlights and the key battles of that great division.
Emile Lacroix is an honorary member of the four Regimental Associations of the 82nd Airborne Division as well as the 291st Combat Engineers Association and he has been a friend of the veterans for decades. Emile has dedicated a major part of his life to researching and preserving the History of the 82nd Airborne and he has put many efforts in establishing the original museum in La Gleize, which now has been rebuilt and sold.
Most of the 82nd ABN Memorials in the Bulge were put up by Emile.
Besides being ‘the’ 82nd ABN Historian in Belgium and founder of the annual 82nd ABN Memorial Walk, Emile is also a wonderful storyteller and a heartwarming person.
